HOLTON – The Climax-Scotts/Martin co-op wrestling has a date with Kellogg Arena for the Division 4 Wrestling Team State quarterfinals on Feb. 27, after the Clippers/Panthers won its regional on Wednesday.
Climax-Scotts/Martin advanced by way of a thrilling 37-36 victory over Kent City in the regional final held at Holton High School. They won the regional semifinal over Hesperia by an equally narrow score of 40-39.
In the regional’s other semifinal, Kent City defeated Maple Valley, 51-21.

Division 4 at Bronson: Host Bronson saw its season come to an end with a 45-27 loss to No. 2-ranked Hudson in the regional semifinal. The Vikings finished the season with a 25-3 record. Earning victories for Bronson were Landon Gould (130 pounds), Kahle Scheenks (135 pounds), Jukoada Sexton (171 pounds), Brett Burtrum (189 pounds) and Joey Losinski (285 pounds). Hudson went on to capture the regional crown with a 39-33 victory over Springport.
(At) Harper Creek 53, Comstock 25: Harper Creek’s Heather McDaniels had a career-high 20 points on senior night, to go with seven rebounds and five steals in the non-conference victory. Also for the Beavers (11-6), Olivia Leson had a season-high 18 points to go with six rebounds and Charley Andrews had 13 points and seven rebounds.
