Dalton Reiden threw four touchdown passes — two to Austin McCray — to lead Forrest County AHS to a 55-13 win over Sumrall on Oct. 23 at Henley Field in Brooklyn.

The Aggies improve to 5-5 overall and 4-1 in Region 7-4A, while the Bobcats fall to 2-9 and 0-5.

Reiden’s first scoring connection with McCray, a 53-yarder, came on the second play from scrimmage in the game, to put the home team up 7-0. Following a pair of Sumrall field goals by Rodney Yates, FCAHS’ Reiden found McCray again to go up 14-6 with 2:09 left in the first quarter.

A 1-yard touchdown run by Kelby Gaddis with 3:58 left in the second quarter and a subsequent 17-yard touchdown pass from Reiden to K.J. Breland gave FCAHS a 27-6 lead at halftime.

The Aggies travel to Purvis on Oct. 30, while Sumrall is at Greene County. Both games are the final regular-season games of the year for each team and kick off at 7 p.m.

PCS 58,

East Rankin 42

Isaiah Woullard rushed for 350 yards on 33 carries and five touchdowns to lead Presbyterian Christian to a 58-42 road win over East Rankin.

The victory snaps a five-game losing streak for the Bobcats, who improve to 4-6 overall.

PCS quarterback Luke Hudson threw for 167 yards and two touchdowns, both to kicker-slash-receiver Luke Logan, who finished with 137 yards receiving, 31 yards passing, a 36-yard field goal and seven successful point-after tries.

The Bobcats host Copiah Academy on Oct. 30.

Purvis 23,

Poplarville 14

James Fakes scored two touchdowns to lead Purvis to a 23-14 victory over Poplarville on the road on Oct. 23.

The victory improves the Tornadoes to 5-4 overall and 4-0 in Region 7-4A action.

Purvis jumped on top early when Lake Smith found Fakes with a 75-yard touchdown pass at the 7:35 mark in the first quarter. After Poplarville tied the game, Fakes put the Tornadoes on top again after a 5-yard scoring run.

The visitors carried a 17-7 lead into the fourth quarter and held on for the win.

Purvis hosts FCAHS on Oct. 30.

Taylorsville 15,

North Forrest 14

Taylorsville’s Tucker Boykin threw a 45-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter and the Tartars converted the 2-point try to pick up a 15-14 victory over North Forrest.

Boykin put Taylorsville up 7-0 in the first quarter, but the Eagles’ Daylyn Croom caught a 38-yard touchdown pass from Terrance Kyser to narrow the gap. North Forrest converted the 2-point try to go up 8-7 at halftime.

Eric Robinson’s 41-yard scoring run extended North Forrest’s lead to 14-7.

The Eagles fall to 2-7 and 1-2 in Region 8-2A competition. The Tartars improve to 4-5 and 2-1.

Seminary 27, Tylertown 20

Felix McCullum tied the game and gave Seminary the lead in the second quarter, and the Bulldogs never looked back, knocking off Tylertown 27-20.

After the Chiefs took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter, McCullum knotted things up on a 4-yard run with 10:53 left in the second quarter. With 46 seconds left in the first half, McCullum’s 28-yard touchdown catch off a pass from Jeff Miller put the Bulldogs up 14-7.

Seminary extended its lead to 21-7 on a 77-yard touchdown run by Stanley Reese with 11:40 remaining in the third quarter.

Tylertown’s Aaron Jefferson caught a 62-yard touchdown pass to cut Seminary’s lead to 21-14 with 5:38 left in the third quarter. But a fourth-quarter 73-yard scoring run by Javaris Crosby put the nail in the Chiefs’ coffin.

The Bulldogs improve to 5-5 and 2-2 in Region 8-3A, while Tylertown drops to 7-2 and 2-2.

West Marion 32,

Perry Central 6

Josh Miller threw two touchdowns and ran in another to lead the Trojans to a 32-6 win over Perry Central.

Miller’s first scoring pass went for 36 yards to Caleb Batie, who added a 1-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

West Marion led 32-0 when Perry Central got on the board via a 2-yard scoring run by Jaquan Bolton.

The Trojans improve to 9-1 overall and 3-1 in Region 8-3A. The Bulldogs are 5-5 and 1-3.
