Athens’ Joshua Langteau and Marathon’s Anna Buchberger won the boys and girls 5,000 meter race during Stratford’s “The Bear” Invite Monday.

Langteau completed the course in 17 minutes, 21.6 seconds and teammate Cody Simonson was fourth overall in 18:27.8.

Stratford’s Josh Guyer was sixth overall, and teammates Cade Lehman and Lucas Heidmann finished ninth and 10th as the Tigers won the team title with 44 points.

Buchberger won the girls race in 20:52.7, finishing 12 seconds ahead of Stratford’s Johnelle Miner.

Miner was one of three Tigers runners in the top nine as Stratford won the team title.

Athens’ Autumn Wiscman was third overall. Auburndale’s Isabella Jewel, and Spencer’s Nadia King were sixth and seventh, respectively.

Wildcats keeper Rhein Zuelsdorf finished with 14 saves, but he was unable to slow down the Cardinals’ Trevor Glodowski in the Mid-State Soccer League matchup.

Glodowski recorded a natural hat trick in the opening half to help Pacelli secure a shutout win. Connor Molski closed out the scoring with a penalty kick in the second half.

Sammi Hayes had five kills and three blocks to lead the Hornets. Hannah Gurtner added three assists.
