SARTELL –– Ethan Kiffmeyer scored two goals in a Central Lakes Conference boys soccer game Monday.

Traivis Forst also scored for the Sabres and Sartell goalkeeper Colin Johnson made three saves.

The Sabres, which improve to 9-1-4 overall and 7-1-2 in the Central Lakes, held a 2-1 at halftime.

ST. CLOUD CATHEDRAL 6, SAUK RAPIDS 1

Tanner Schmit scored two goals to lead St. Cloud Tech past Sauk Rapids in a nonconference game at Whitney Park.

Erik Gadbois added a goal and an assist and Colin Strong had two assists for the Crusaders.

Cathedral goalkeeper Tommy Schmidt made six saves.

Kole Kutzera scored his first career goal for Sauk Rapids. Storm goalkeeper Ethan Baker made 14 saves.

ST. CLOUD TECH 4,

ST. MICHAEL-ALBERTVILLE 1

Mohamed Abdi, Ismail Ismail, Vicente Cisneros and Jake Alessio scored the goals for St. Cloud Tech in a nonconference win at Husky Stadium.

Brian Helminick made five saves for the Tigers (10-1-2 overall), which finished with 18 shots.

Tech led 3-1 at halftime.

ST. CLOUD CATHEDRAL 1,

SAUK RAPIDS 0

Senior midfielder Madelyn Curtis scored at 58:06 on an assist from senior Emily Walsh to lead Cathedral (10-0-2) to the nonconference win at Whitney Park.

Senior KJ Heinen made eight saves to record the shutout.

Senior Megan Ackerman made 10 of 11 saves for Sauk Rapids (7-5).

ST. CLOUD TECH 1

SAUK RAPIDS — Kyra Harvey had 14 kills, 16 digs and seven ace serves to help Sauk Rapids (5-4 Central Lakes, 8-7 overall) beat Tech.

The Storm won 25-12, 18-25, 25-18, 25-23.

“We took care of the ball well,” Sauk Rapids head coach Dave Anderson said. “We passed well and served well.”

Brooke Butkowski contributed 11 kills and Morgan Held had 29 set assists. Angela Konz added seven kills and four blocks and Kahlen Manthey had 16 digs for the Storm.

ST. CLOUD CATHEDRAL 3, LITCHFIELD 1

Sam Laudenbach finished with 13 kills and 25 digs in St. Cloud Cathedral’s win at Cathedral High School.

Game scores were 29-27, 25-15, 15-25, 25-18.

Katie Auger and Megan Zniewski added 11 kills apiece for the Crusaders (13-5 overall).

Cathedral’s Morgan Prom finished with 50 set assists and Annie O’Hagan had four blocks.

EDEN VALLEY-WATKINS 3, UPSALA 0

EDEN VALLEY — Julia Stota had six kills and Noelle Hesse was 16-for-17 serving with one ace and nine digs in Eden Valley-Watkins’ nonconference win.

Faith Forcier contributed 26-for-31 setting with 11 assists for the Eagles (8-11) which play Thursday at Central Minnesota Conference-leading Maple Lake.

EVW won 25-13, 25-14, 25-17.

OSAKIS 3, PIERZ 1

PIERZ –– Kelsi Stuckmayer led Pierz with nine kills in a loss to Osakis.

Game scores were 16-25, 25-12, 25-22, 25-20.

Hannah Kahl had four ace serves and 12 digs and BreAnna Hopkins led the Pioneers in digs with 21.

Girls tennis

MELROSE 4, FOLEY 3

FOLEY –– Melrose won two closely-contested matches to lift itself to a nonconference win at Foley.

Melrose’s Elisha Engelmeyer defeated Kayla McIver 4-6, 6-1, (13-11) at No. 1 singles. Mady Brinkman and Jessica Kerfeld won the No. 2 doubles match for the Dutchmen.

Maggie Kipka had Foley’s most decisive win, a 6-4, 6-2 victory at No. 4 singles.

MONTICELLO 7, SARTELL 0

MONTICELLO –– The Magic swept Sartell in nonconference action.

Tyrell Franck-Cross led St. Cloud with three goals and an assist in St. Cloud’s first win of the season at Apollo High School.

Brian Jones stopped six shots in goal for the Thunder.

St. Cloud improves to 1-1 overall.
