DEPEW, NY – After a winless 0-7 season, Williamsville East is under new management. Chris Glenn, former St. Mary’s head coach, is now the head man of the Flames. Glenn’s first order of business is to give the team a winning attitude.
“It will take a lot of discipline you know the little things mean the most to win football games. Just showing up to practice on time, coming to all the workouts. I’m an old school guy, toes on the line before practice starts,” Coach Glenn explained.
Coach Glenn led St. Mary’s to a 6-4 record last season. They also beat St. Jo
e’s on the road for just the second time in school history.
Looking at his current roster, Coach Glenn gives the offense the edge over his defense.
“We’re a little bit more ahead on the offensive side. All that is, is getting kids in the right spots on defense and we’ll figure that out as we go through camp,” Coach Glenn said.
For Williamsville East this year, the rivalry game against Williamsville North means a little bit more.
” I went to Williamsville North, graduated from there and coached there for four years. Unfortunately we don’t play Williamsville South in the regular season this year so it will be week six at Williamsville North and I can’t wait,” Coach Glenn said.
Williamsville East opens up the season at home on Saturday, September 5th against North Tonawanda.
