JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Providence high school advanced to District 4-3A baseball championship Tuesday afternoon, defeating Duval Charter, 8-1, at home.

After a scoreless first inning, the Stallions would score two runs in each of the next two innings to take control of the game. A three-run fifth blew the game open for Providence who would add one more in the sixth inning.

Nathan Adams picked up the win for the Stallions, his first of the season.

Providence will meet the winner of Tuesday night’s Eagle’s View vs. University Christian match up in the 4-3A championship, scheduled for Thursday.
