Tuttle scored on runs of 4, 4, 15 and 70 yards and finished with 267 yards on 22 carries during the Papermakers’ 53-26 win over Westfield last Friday. The win clinched a playoff berth for Nekoosa for the seventh time in the past eight years as the team improved to 4-5 overall.

Sport: Cross country

Dolan was the runner-up at the Marawood Conference meet last Thursday, posting a time of 16 minutes, 44 seconds. The Royals finished second as a team with 56 points, right behind conference champion Chequamegon, which had the low score of 41.

Grundhoffer had 10 kills and 10 digs during the Royals’ 25-15, 25-15, 25-10 WIAA Division 4 regional quarterfinal win over Almond-Bancroft Tuesday night. Second-seeded Assumption hosts Pittsville Thursday in a regional semifinal match.

Sport: Volleyball

Sweeney led the Blackhawks with 15 kills during a 17-25, 26-24, 25-23, 25-20 win over Tigerton during a WIAA Division 4 regional quarterfinal match Tuesday. The Blackhawks play at No. 1-seeded Wild Rose Thursday in the second round.
