Christ the King (Middle Village, N.Y.) guard Rawle Alkins is officially an international star.

After torching the adidas Gauntlet with his 24.3 points per game average this summer, Alkins led the U.S. Select team to a 3-0 record at the 2015 adidas EuroCamp in Treviso, Italy.

Alkins (10.3 points per game), who is ranked No. 22 overall in the ESPN 100, and Northside (Pinetown, N.C.) forward Edrice “Bam Bam” Adebayo (10.4 points per game), who is ranked No. 8, led a balanced attack for U.S. Select, which was comprised of some of the top players from the adidas Gauntlet.

Not a bad showing for a team that managed just two practices before competing.

“He showed some unbelievable athleticism, the ability to shoot the ball and make plays for others,” U.S. Select coach Jerry Stackhouse told ZAGSBLOG.com. “I think that’s the thing that you lose sight of with Rawle because he’s a scorer. But he’s a willing passer too.”

Alkins and Adebayo will head to Atlanta for the adidas Gauntlet Finals July 8-11.
