The Port Clinton boys and girls track and field teams won a combined 18-of-28 events at Tuesday’s tri-meet over Woodmore and Genoa. The Redskins’ girls won tallying 68 points. Woodmore was second with 43 and Genoa third with 30.
Ashtyn Baney had three first place finishes for Port Clinton. The first came in the 100 dash where she finished in 12.6 seconds. Baney also ran anchor on the winning 4×100 relay (52.6) and she won the 200 dash in 26.9.
Emma Eickert, Kennedy Gulas, Katelyn Koebel and Gabby Sharkey won the 4×800 (11:42.00). Katy Wiewandt was first in the 100 hurdles in 17.5. Branna Lawrence took first in the 400 in 1:07.80. Hannah Mallory had the winning time in the 300 hurdles (52.4). Miranda Herevia teamed with Lawrence, Gulas and Koebel to win the 4×400 relay in 4:44.70.
Morrisa Mallory won the shot put for the Redskins with a 34-foot, 6-inch toss and the discus with a top throw of 105-08.
Woodmore’s Cortney Burner won the 1,600 in 5:46.00 and the 3,200 in 12:41.00.
Genoa won the 4×200 relay behind a 1:54.2 time turned in by Jordyn Kreager, Cearrah Norwalk, Jaynie Plantz and Carly Gose. Gose also won the 800 run in 2:31.00.
Port Clinton’s boys also won with 77 points to Genoa’s 33 and Woodmore’s 32.
Keegan Lowe won the 110 hurdles (17.0), while Brandon Moore took first in the 100 (11.1). Darius Daniels, Marcus Hogan, Alec Ochs and Cole Araguz was first in the 4×200 relay (1:35.70). Blake Sneider (5:21.00) and Collin Rider (5:26.00) were first and second in the 1,600 respectively. Araguz, Moore, Daniels and Emerson Lowe won the 4×100 in 44.1. Jake Depner was first in the 300 hurdles (48.5). Moore was first in the 200 (22.9), while Nick Reineck won the 3,200 in 11:22.00.
The Comets’ Andrew Belcik had the fastest time in the 400 at 56.6. Dylan Witt took first in the shot (44-05) as well as the discus (142-06).
The Wildcats won the 4×800 behind a 9:39.40 time turned in by Ryan Schiavone, Ross Weirich, Grant Matwieczyk and Ryan Avers. Avers also won the 800 (2:23.00). Schiavone, Weirich, Nick Fruchey and Jeremy Schiavone won the 4×400 in 3:46.00.
