Windy conditions prevailed at Sandusky’s Verdi Von Thronn Tennis Courts Tuesday as Port Clinton’s tennis team fell to Perkins 3-2 Tuesday in the Sandusky Bay Conference.

Will Mercurio and Thomas Keville both won their singles matches for the Redskins (2-6, 1-1). Mercurio (No. 2) won 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 over Anthony Visci, while Keville won in straight sets over Kevin Sullivan.

“Will got his serve and volley game going in the second set and was able to pull out a nice three-set victory by being aggressive at the net,” Port Clinton coach Aaron Taylor said. “Thomas continued playing some nice tennis as he downed Kevin today.”
