Coming off 19-1 and 10-0 weekend victories, Reed (Sparks, Nev.) has jumped into the top 10 of the latest USA TODAY High School Sports/National Fastpitch Coaches Association Super 25 Rankings.

Super 25 Softball Rankings – Week 5

Reed moved from No. 14 to No. 7 and is 21-0 entering Thursday’s games.

Jessica Jensen, who threw a no-hitter in the 19-1 victory against Wooster, is 18-0 and has struck out 163 with just 11 walks. The sophomore has allowed 10 earned runs on the season. Offensively, Jensen is hitting .490 and has driven in 20 runs.

Fellow sophomore Jessica Sellers has a team-high 28 hits with 22 RBI and a .475 batting average.

The top five spots in the Super 25 remained the same, with No. 1 Mission Viejo (Calif.) and No. 2 Alexander Central (Taylorsville, N.C.) both idle. St. Amat (La.), Aledo (Texas) and Pioneer (San Jose, Calif.) remain unbeaten and hold down the third through fifth spots.

There are three newcomers this week: 14. Yucaipa (Calif.), No. 19 Medina Valley (Castorville, Texas) and 22. Gainsville (Fla.)
