Richmond’s boys bowling team defeated Winchester 19-1 while falling to undefeated New Castle 16-4 Saturday. Richmond’s girls improved to 8-1 with a 12-8 victory over New Castle, retaining the top spot in the conference.

Braydon Shafer led Richmond’s boys by shooting a 195 game and 371 series against New Castle then turning in a 219 and 411 in the win against the Falcons.

Megan Gardner led Richmond’s girls, shooting a 194 game and 354 series.

Both teams return to action next Saturday at Richmond 40 lanes against Rushville.

The winner of the girls match will take home the conference title.
