Ribault girls basketball team seeks 3-peat in Lakeland

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — With two more wins this week, the Ribault High School girls basketball team can win the 11th state championship in program history. That would extend a state record.

The Pressing Lady Trojans will face Orlando Lake Highland Prep on Tuesday at 7 PM in the Class 4A Final Four in Lakeland.

If they win, they’ll play the winner of the Ft. Myers Dunbar-West Palm Beach Cardinal Newman game on Wednesday at 8:05 p.m. in Lakeland. If Ribault wins a state championship this week, it will be their third consecutive title.

University Christian will Seffner Christian in the Class 3A Final Four on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in Lakeland. First Coast News will have coverage of both the University Christian and Ribault games on Tuesday.

Hilliard plays Wildwood in the Class 1A Final Four on Wednesday at noon in Lakeland.

Paxon plays Land O’Lakes in the Class 5A Final Four on Friday at 7 PM in Lakeland.
