The Western North Carolina Rip City 12U softball team.

Western North Carolina Rip City batted .505 as a team and outscored opponents, 35-10, to win its fourth consecutive 12 and under softball tournament last weekend in Johnson City, Tenn.

Team leaders in the ASA Summer Classic were Cierra Flack (.667 and five RBIs), along with Christan Williams and Cassidy Cantrell (.555 with five RBIs).

Rip City is comprised of girls from three counties (Buncombe, Madison and McDowell).

Cantrell and Gracie Sprinkle are from Madison, while Flack, Lucy Hames and Sarah Tucker are from McDowell.

Williams, Krista Hendrick, Kaitlyn Lambert, MaKayla Gosnell and Lauren Davis reside in Buncombe.
