River View posted a pair of victories Saturday, beating Steubenville 2-1 and Lakewood 8-4.

Josh Bigrigg threw a two-hitter with five strikeouts and two walks to earn the win over Steubenville.

Trevor Wine hit a RBI single and Ian Brinker doubled home a run in the second to put the Black Bears ahead 2-0, while the Big Red scored a run in the fourth on a sac fly.

Jonathan Helmick and Adam Croup each had two hits for River View.

Nicky Zorne was the losing pitcher, allowing six hits and fanning six for Steubenville.

Trailing 4-3 entering the sixth, River View plated five runs to earn the win over Lakewood. Jorn Hocter ripped a two-run double, while Bigrigg and Croup each added RBI doubles in the frame.

Croup, who earned the win in relief with two scoreless innings, finished with three hits and two RBIs, Brinker, Helmick and Bryar Cox each added two hits and Hocter scored three times.

Scott Painter took the loss in relief and had three hits and a RBI for the Lancers.
