Riverside junior Autumn Shea had 59 goals and 12 assists and was chosen the state’s player of the year.

Riverside’s Autumn Shea was named the state’s girls player of the year by the South Carolina High School Lacrosse Coaches Association, leading a Greenville County sweep of the state’s awards.

Shea, a junior midfielder, had 59 goals and 12 assists while leading Riverside to a 10-4 record and a playoff berth.

J.L. Mann’s Taylor Williams and Mauldin’s Rachel Perrett were honored as Co-Attack Players of the Year.

Mann, which won its third consecutive state championship, also was recognized as having the top defender in Jessica Walsh, the top coach in Kristy Schumacher and the top assistant coach in Deanna Majeski.

Hillcrest’s Lanie Bishop and Sydney Taylor received the awards for best midfielder and goalie, respectively.
