Rockets’ Uher throws 123 pitches in tourney title game

Kyle Uher threw 123 pitches to earn the victory on the mound Saturday as Oak Harbor’s baseball team defeated Hopewell-Loudon 8-4 in the championship game of the Tony Lucadello Tournament.

Uher struck out seven and walked five while allowing five hits and four runs in seven innings. Jourdan Maguire, Owen Segaard and Garrett Harvey drove in two runs apiece while Billy Ling and Jake St. Clair each scored twice.

St. Clair was 2 for 2 with two walks while Harvey was 3 for 3.

Segaard was 4 for 4 with four runs and earned the win on the mound in a 22-0 victory over Fostoria St. Wendelin in five innings in another game. Segaard (three innings) and Ethan Schwaderer each allowed one hit.

Caleb Oberther and Harvey each drove in three runs while Ling and St. Clair scored twice.

Oak Harbor (3-10) scored nine runs in the first inning against St. Wendelin and five in the first against the Cheiftains. It had 19 hits against St. Wendelin.
