McCutcheon scored eight times in the top of the sixth inning to rally and beat Logansport 10-5 in high school baseball action Wednesday.
The Mavericks (6-0, 2-0 North Central Conference) trailed 5-2 heading into the sixth inning. They managed two hits in the inning, but took advantage of seven walks and one error to overtake the Berries. Josh Maddox scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch.
Jackson Smeltz had three of McCutcheon’s seven hits and Braden Giroux and Walter Talcott each contributed two hits.

Micha Ruiz collected two doubles and a home run to help the Gophers rally from an 8-3 deficit.
Ruiz drove in four runs and Morgan Shields had four hits, including a double and triple, and totaled two RBIs. Morgan Fritz had three hits and Rylee Lane drove in three runs with a double.
Savannah Harrison allowed just four hits, but the Panthers scored twice in the bottom of the second and held on to beat the Falcons.
Emily Doyle was 3-for-3 to lead Frontier.
