Sparta 7, Pope John 2: Freshman attack Jesse West had a hat trick and two assists for the Spartans (4-1). Senior attack Zach Eberding scored twice and was 10-of-13 on faceoffs. Sophomore midfielder Connor McCoy and senior attack Jack Sember scored for the Lions (2-5).
Randolph 16, Kittatinny 1: Junior attack Jake Southren led the Rams (3-4) with four goals and two assists. Sophomore Matt Potter had a hat trick. Nick Ungar and Jesse Bush each scored twice. Goalies Andrew Weingold, Alex Mambelli and Emilio Inchiappa combined for four saves.
Morris Hills 14, High Point 1: Senior attack Zach Berkowitz had five goals and two assists for the Scarlet Knights (3-4). Sophomore attack Patrick McAndrew had a hat trick and senior midfielder Mike Dietrich had two goals and one assist.
Vernon 7, Morris Knolls 5: Jayce Faustini and senior Jared Sparta each scored twice for the Vikings (4-2). Senior James Freeman had one goal and two assists. For the Golden Eagles (4-2), senior midfielder Sean Stadtlander and junior attack Andrew Yenesel each scored twice.
Morristown 15, Columbia 5: Senior midfielder Casey O’Brien led the Colonials (4-3) with four goals and three assists. Senior midfielder Meghan Siverson had a hat trick and one assist. Senior midfielder Allie Ferrara had a hat trick. Sophomore goalie Amelia Drake made seven saves.
Mount Olive 16, Union Catholic 3: Senior midfielder Claire Callaghan had four goals and one assist as the Marauders improved to 4-0 on Thursday. Junior midfielder Sarah McEvoy and freshman attack Anna Murray each had a hat trick and one assist.
Pope John 14, Passaic Valley 2: Junior attack Kristina Worts had a hat trick and two assists for the Lions (5-0) on Thursday. Maria Olivia had a hat trick and freshman midfielder Emma Valiante had two goals and one assist. Goalie Katie Callahan made seven saves.
Roxbury 11, Morristown-Beard 5: Sophomore pitcher Tucker Voelbel allowed two earned runs on two hits, walked one and struck out three in five innings for his first varsity win for the Gaels (3-1). At the plate he finished 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored. Senior left fielder Scott Marshall went 3-for-3 with a double, a triple, two runs scored and one RBI. For the Crimson (1-1-1), senior pitcher Pat Davis had an RBI triple.
Delbarton 4, Pope John 3: Jay Sanford went 2-for-4 with a home run, one RBI and two runs scored for the Lions (1-2). Ethan Collins had a double and one RBI.
Mendham 3, Chatham 2: Thomas Koide allowed two runs on two hits, walked two and struck out nine in 6 1/3 innings for the Minutemen on Thursday. Johnny Cowan finished 3-for-4 with one RBI. For the Cougars Kenen Ong had a double and Cam Blazoski scored twice.
Chatham 18, Vernon 0 (5 inn.): Senior pitcher Susie Wolsch pitched a three-hit shutout and struck out two for the Cougars (4-0). Sophomore third baseman Hallie Pelligrin finished 4-for-4 with a grand slam, a double, 10 RBI and three runs scored. Sophomore first baseman Morgan Pelligrin went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI.
Randolph 10, Parsippany Hills 0: Senior shortstop Cynthia Meringer finished 2-for-4 with an RBI, three runs scored and her single in the fourth inning was her 100th career hit. Rose Bolinder had two RBI on Thursday.
