Senior attack Mark Laratta scored six goals, including his 100th career goal, as the Mount Olive boys lacrosse team defeated Pope John 13-4 in a Rizk Division matchup on Thursday.
Junior attack Alex Maya added a goal and three assists for the Marauders (3-1). Connor McCoy, Jack Sember, Eddie May and Shane Plokhoy each scored for Pope John (1-3).
Randolph 10, Pequannock 9: Junior attack Jake Southren had a hat trick and two assists for Randolph (2-1). Sophomore Luc Swedlund added three gals and an assist. Senior midfielder Bryan Peters led Pequannock (0-3) with four goals, including his 100th career goal, and three assists.
Park Regional 14, Morris Catholic 12: Kevin Goettlich led Park with seven goals and three assists. Joe Jannicelli had a hat trick and three assists. Morris Catholic senior attack Danny Dunn had four goals and an assist. Sophomore Matt Graziano had four goals.
Delbarton 14, Mendham 5: Ryan Onderdonk had two goals and two assists. Michael Rutter, Connor Kirst and Keegan Khan each added a goal and an assist apiece for the Green Wave (4-0). Kyle Garrison tallied twice for Mendham (0-3).
Jefferson 15, Nutley 8: Senior attack Matt Bush had six goals and two assists for the visiting Falcons (2-2). Senior midfielder Peyton Faasse added two goals and four assists.
Vernon 14, Kittatinny 0: Attack Brandon Blankman led Vernon (2-0) with four goals and an assist. Vikings goalkeeper Anthony Musciotto had four saves for the shutout.
St. Peter’s Prep 19, Montville 8: Senior attack Brendan Kelly had two goals and two assists for the Mustangs (1-3). Junior attack Graham Jespersen had two goals and one assist.
Mountain Lakes 11, Glen Ridge 6: Senior attack Zander Kotsen had a hat trick as the Lakers improved to 4-0. Senior attack Brad Smith had a goal and two assists. Senior midfielder Will Ratchford had three assists. Senior goalie Kevin Beimfohr made 11 saves.
West Morris 4, Mount Olive 3: Andrew Montgomery drove in the winning run with one out in the sixth inning for West Morris. Montgomery finished 2-for-3. West Morris right fielder Ambrose Consol was 2-for-3, including a two-run first-inning homer. Mount Olive senior second baseman Trevor Lee was 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Jefferson 4, Mountain Lakes 3: Brian Turton finished 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored for the Falcons (1-0). Donovan Stallworth had three RBI and Josh Sadowski scored two runs. Tyler Fielder pitched the final two innings in relief for the win. Kevin Stewart had an RBI-single for the Lakers (0-1).
Roxbury 2, Mendham 1: Roxbury junior shortstop Craig Roumes had a bases-loaded RBI single in the third inning. Senior catcher Nick Matera followed with a sacrifice fly, driving in junior Stephen Loring with what proved to be the winning run. Mark Dominguez drove in Tommy Githens with Mendham’s run in the second inning.
Pequannock 3, Pompton Lakes 2: Junior catcher Tyler Aug doubled home Mark Gallo to tie the game in the bottom of the fifth. Juinor second baseman Troy Torchia scored the winning run on a two-out single by senior shortstop Mike DeSenzo. DeSenzo was 2-for-3. Gallo went 2-for-4.
Seton Hall Prep 10, Hanover Park 0: Michael Christadore, Joe Armeni and Joe Berardinelli each singled for Hanover Park (0-1).
Montclair 12, Morristown 10: Senior attack Maddy Heher had a hat trick and scored her 100th career goal for the Colonials (1-3). Freshman midfielder Annika Begley also had a hat trick.
Roxbury 13, Columbia 5: Junior attack Chelsea Artigliere had four goals and one assist and freshman attack Emma Karnitsky chipped in four goals for the Gaels (3-1). Sophomore attack Mia Sadowksi had a hat trick. Junior goalie Jordan Segrave made seven saves.
Morris Knolls 8, Montville 4: Junior midfielder Bridget Francisco figured into four Golden Eagles goals, scoring three and assisting on three more. Sophomore Krista Mitarotonda added a goal and four assists. Senior Zoe Tabakman scored twice for Montville (2-2).
Mount Olive 17, Kittatinny 6: Mount Olive junior midfielder Sarah McEvoy had seven goals and an assist. Gina Verrone added four goals and an assist for the Marauders (2-0). Lindsay McKim had three goals for Kittatinny (0-1).
Kinnelon 19, Mount St. Dominic 10: Kinnelon junior midfielder Ashley Bobinski scored seven goals. Junior attack Ana Berezni added two goals and three assists for the Colts (1-2).
Pope John 10, West Milford 8 (OT): Baylee Vozza and Flo Zipitria each scored in the first half of overtime for Pope John. Vozza, a senior midfielder, ended up with a hat trick. Junior goalkeeper Katie Callahan had nine saves for the Lions.
Lenape Valley 18, Boonton 5: Senior midfielder Sally Olson led the Patriots (1-0) with five goals. Junior midfielder Maura Chozick had four goals and one assist. Senior attack Samantha Berghorn had a hat trick. For the Bombers (0-2), sophomore attack Adriana Dika had a hat trick.
West Morris 11, Sparta 10: Sophomore midfielder Cassidy Orban scored four goals for West Morris (1-2).
Morris Catholic 14, Pequannock 6: Junior midfielder Rachel Mills led the Crusaders (2-2) with a hat trick and four assists. Senior midfielder Lexi Finn had a hat trick and freshman midfielder Hannah Driscoll had two goals and two assists. For the Panthers (0-4), junior midfielder Arden Kassaleh had a hat trick. Junior midfielder Lauren Burklow had two goals and two assists.
Madison 19, Jefferson 11: Senior attack Laney Rutland led the Dodgers with five goals. Senior attacks Maddie Anton and Mackenzie Rambush each had four goals.
Chatham 4, Bergen Tech 0: Susie Wolsh and Melissa Landry combined on a three-hitter with two walks and six strikeouts. Chatham senior Liz Silveira was 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored.
Montville 13, Boonton 1: Senior Rachel Inglesino finished 3-for-4 with two doubles, three RBI and three runs scored for the Mustangs (1-0). Senior Cayleigh Aslanian went 3-for-4 with three doubles, three RBI and three runs scored. Sophomore pitcher Kristie Monaco allowed one run on four hits and struck out six in five innings.
