Junior midfielder Christine Long scored her 100th career goal as the second-seeded Mendham girls lacrosse team defeated No. 7 West Morris 13-9 in the North Group III quarterfinals on Monday.

Long finished with five goals and one assist for the Minutemen (11-9). Sophomore attack Meri Curtain had four goals, one assist. For the seventh-seeded Wolfpack (6-12), sophomore midfielder Cassidy Orban scored six goals. Senior midfielder Jillian Picciuto had one goal and one assist.

Mountain Lakes 15, Villa Walsh 5: Junior midfielder Grainger Rosati scored six goals to lead the second-seeded Lakers (11-9) into the North Group I semifinals. Senior midfielder Rachel Treweeke scored four goals. Junior goalie Julie Krupnick made 10 saves. Senior attack Caroline Hetzel scored twice for the seventh-seeded Vikings (10-7). Senior midfielder Annie Collett had one goal and one assist.

Oak Knoll 19, Morris Catholic 6: Junior midfielder Rachel Mills had a hat trick and one assist as the eighth-seeded Crusadsers (12-10) fell in the North Group I quarterfinals. Sophomore midfielder Rachel Petruska, senior midfielder Lexi Finn and freshman attack Taylor Skawinski also scored.

Hopewell Valley 14, Sparta 13 (OT): Senior Julia Corrice had four goals and one assist as the fourth-seeded Spartans (13-5) fell in North Group III. Freshman attack Kaitlin Mead scored four goals. Sophomore attack Jackie Hallack had two goals and one assist.

Baseball

Jefferson 11, Lodi 1 (5): Josh Sadowksi hit a three-run home run and finished with three RBI and three runs scored for the fourth-seeded Falcons (18-9) in North 1 Group II. Sean Perry had a home run and two runs scored. Vince Montone finished 4-for-4 with a double, three RBI and a run scored. Brian Turton finished with a double, three RBI and one run scored.

Roxbury 7, Passaic Valley 0: Senior right-hander Scott Marshall pitched a complete-game shutout, allowed two hits and struck out 10 as the second-seeded Gaels (20-5) advanced in North 2 Group III. Marshall also finished 2-for-4 with three RBI. Junior shortstop Stephen Loreng had two RBI and two runs scored. Junior second baseman Craig Roumes had three runs scored and two stolen bases.

Madison 10, Arts 0 (5): Senior righty Ryan Higgins and junior lefty Brian Chinni combined to pitch a no-hitter for the sixth-seeded Dogers (14-9) in North 2 Group II. Mike Martirano had two RBI and two runs scored. Junior shortstop Tim Azzolini started off a seven-run first inning with a two-run double.

Hanover Park 10, Newark Central 0 (6): Joey Jandoli pitched a no-hitter and struck out 10 for the fourth-seeded Hornets (14-9) in North 2 Group II. John Moran had a double and scored twice. Brad Daugherty had a double, one RBI and scored twice. Mike Kiray tripled and scored a run.

Mount Olive 10, Pascack Valley 6: The eighth-seeded Marauders (18-9) trailed 4-0 headed to the bottom of the first in North 1 Group III. Greg Helmlinger singled in a run and Chris Somerville hit a three-run home run to tie the game 4-4. Somerville also had an RBI single in the third to give Mount Olive the lead, 5-4. He finished 2-for-3 with four RBI. Helmlinger had a double and two RBI. Devin Mathura had one RBI and scored twice.

Pequannock 9, North Warren 0: Tommy Ackershoek picked up the win after he pitched a two-hit shutout and struck out five in 6 2/3 innings for the third-seeded Panthers (19-5) in North 1 Group II. Tom Crooks had one RBI and scored twice. Mark Gallo scored three runs and Brian Werr had a double, one RBI and one run scored.

Hopatcong 5, Sparta 2: Christian Ammiano allowed two runs, one earned, and struck out four in five innings for the Chiefs (7-12). He also went 3-for-3 with a home run and two RBI. Anthony Melillo went 3-for-4 with one RBI and one run scored. For the Spartans (7-13), Connor Coyle finished 2-for-3 with a run scored and a stolen base.

Boys Lacrosse

Delbarton 13, Kinnelon 3: Senior midfielder Connor Kirst led the Green Wave (17-1) with a hat trick and one assist. Junior attack Michael Rutter had two goals and two assists. Senior midfielder Andrew Ford had two goals and one assist. For the Colts (5-11), junior attack Mike Elefonte scored twice. Senior midfielder Devin Ditaranto had one goal and one assist.

Softball

Montville 4, West Milford 1: Freshman Jordan Strickland allowed one run on five hits and struck out in five innings for the Mustangs (16-10). Sophomore Kristie Moncaco pitched two innings of shutout relief. Senior Cayleigh Aslanian homered, had two RBI and scored a run. Junior Madison Hill had a double and one RBI.

Morris Knolls 8, Kittatinny 3: Freshman Emilee Stone and senior Casey Coleman each homered and had three RBI for the Golden Eagles (22-5). Sophomore Carly Shaw scored three runs. For the Cougars (16-8), junior Candice Flynn had a double and one RBI. Junior Ashley Brown had a double and scored a run.

Parsippany 15, Mountain Lakes 0: Senior Veronica Shaw finished 2-for-3 with a grand slam, five RBI and two runs scored for the Red Hawks (20-5). Freshman Alivia Mercuro hit a three-run home run and scored twice.

Mount Olive 11, Vernon 2: Senior Jamie Stefani allowed two runs on one hit and struck out 11 for the Marauders (14-11). Freshman Alyssa Borozan finished 3-for-4 with a triple, two doubles, two RBI and three runs scored. Junior Lindsay Verrico and freshman Franki Potocki each scored a run for the Vikings (7-16).
