Junior first baseman Zach Mann hit a walkoff RBI single to drive in sophomore Jake Tusateri for Scott in a 6-5 eight-inning win over Ludlow. Mann went 2-for-4 at the plate.
Tusateri picked up the win, pitching 41/3 innings and giving up only one hit.
Scott improved to 11-8.
Covington Catholic 10, Bellevue 0 (five innings): Junior Adam Picirillo had two RBI to lead the Colonels. Will Heppler and Noah Galvin each had doubles, as Covington Catholic improved to 16-4.
Newport Central Catholic 12, Holmes 6: Senior pitcher Clint Bartels had 11 strikeouts in five innings and got the victory. Bartels also led at the plate, going 4-for-4 with three RBI.
Roger Bacon 9, Purcell Marian 2: Senior Ben Derrenkamp went 2-for-3 and stole five bases to lead the Spartans.
Campbell County 15, Holmes 4: Eighth grade pitcher Jessica Walsh picked up her first win of the season. She also led Campbell County at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a double.
Bishop Brossart 14, Newport 2 (five innings): Junior Amanda Lloyd was 3-for-4 with three RBI to lead the Mustangs. Sophomore Macy Griffin went 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBI.
Sophomore pitcher Megan Seiter (2-2) struck out six batters in the win. Seiter was also 2-for-3 with a double, as Bishop Brossart improved to 16-11.
