Central 13, Jackson Liberty 12: The Golden Eagles (6-3, 5-2) did all of their damage in the first half. Senior quarterback Michael Miserendino had two first half touchdown passes to senior running back Malcolm Vaughn as the Golden Eagles built a 13-0 halftime lead.
Miserendino’s touchdown passes to Vaughn were for four yards and 12 yards and Shane Black made one of two extra points against the Lions (4-5, 4-3).
“We knew we would be competitive in Class B South games and teams like Lakewood, Point Boro and Jackson Liberty were tough opponents,” Central coach Willie Jacobs said. “With the exception of the St. John Vianney game, we were in every game this season and give or take a play or two and we could have been 8-1 through nine games.”
