Senior guard Kate Feeney posted a double-double as the top-seeded Morris Catholic girls basketball team defeated No. 8 Oak Knoll 58-24 in Non-Public North B.
Feeney totaled 18 points, 14 rebounds, three assists and six steals for the Crusaders (22-2). Junior guard Stella Johnson had 18 points, seven rebounds, three steals, two blocks and two assists. Senior center Claire Johnson chipped in 10 points.
Old Tappan 56, Montville 42: Junior guard Kelly O’Reilly had 20 points and 10 rebounds as the 10th-seeded Mustangs (13-13) fell in North 1 Group III. Sophomore guard Lauren Minardi had six points, six assists and three steals. Freshman forward Amanda Gorski had 12 rebounds.
West Essex 38, Chatham 35: Junior guard Cassandra Falone scored 17 points as the third-seeded Cougars (16-12) fell in the North 2 Group III quarterfinals. Freshman guard Chloe Blanc scored eight points.
Hasbrouck Heights 59, Boonton 52: Senior guard Sihana Asani had 19 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals as the No. 10 Bombers (16-11) bowed out in the North 1 Group I quarterfinals. Junior guard Rhiannon Groll chipped in eight points and four steals. Senior guard Meghan Maida had five points, eight rebounds and three blocks.
Pope John 80, Paramus Catholic 55: Senior forward Moustapha Diagne had 20 points, 18 rebounds, four assists and five blocks as the second-seeded Lions (25-3) advanced to the Non-Public North A semifinals. Senior forward Jeromy Rodriguez had 14 points, 14 rebounds, five assists and five blocks. Junior guard James Scott totaled 21 points, four rebounds and four assists.
Hudson Catholic 88, Morris Catholic 49: Junior center Amir Allen had 19 points, eight rebounds and six blocks as the seventh-seeded Crusaders (15-13) fell in Non-Public North B. Senior forward Amir Hamilton scored 14 points.
Chatham 48, West Essex 42: Junior forward Colin McKenna scored 15 points as the second-seeded Cougars (19-8) advanced to the North 2 Group III semifinals. Junior forward Jake Bevich scored nine points and senior guard Graham Delaney scored eight points.
Orange 66, Mendham 58: Robert Annen had 20 points and three rebounds as the No. 3 Minutemen (21-6) fell in North 2 Group III. Brendan O’Donnell had 11 points, four rebounds, three steals and two assists. Brian Kenez chipped in nine points, five rebounds and four assists.
