SOUTH BURLINGTON – Cameron Peyko’s first-half hat trick powered South Burlington’s big first half as it sped past North Country for a 4-0 win in high school girls soccer on Wednesday night.

Annika Nielsen also scored for the Rebels (4-5), who got on the board twice in the first seven minutes. Sonya Hellman, Katie McLean and Bella Nevin each assisted Peyko.

Bailey Burt (two saves) and Kailei Eustis (four saves) split time for the shutout.

Melody Martin turned away eight shots for the Falcons (5-5).

Milton 7, Missisquoi 0: Seven players found the back of the net for visiting Milton as it rolled by Missisquoi.

Marisa Sherwood, Carol Sagan, Megan Kilburn, Sydney Shappy and Katerina Desranleau all recorded their first varsity goals for the Yellowjackets (8-1). Cait Dabagian and Kaleigh Goulette also scored.

Jenna Bourdeau finished with 24 saves for the Thunderbirds (0-7-1).

Mount Mansfield 2, Burlington 0: Macey Wissell cracked a scoreless deadlock in the first half and Anna Burke provided the second-half insurance tally as visiting Mount Mansfield clipped Burlington.

Emma Parent finished with five saves in the shutout for the Cougars (6-3). Norah Mitchell made two stops for the Seahorses (3-6).

Green Mountain Valley 5, Stratton 1: Becca Provost pumped in a hat trick as host Green Mountain Valley broke free to beat Stratton.

Syd Mason and Sophia Maynard also scored for the Gumbies and Izzy Nolan made 15 saves.

Olivia Holm struck for Stratton and Jenna Brown stopped 16 shots.


South Burlington 3, North Country 0: Patrick O’Hara recorded a goal and an assist as host South Burlington shut out North Country.

Amerlin Nemeye (penalty kick) and Lucas Shaw also scored for the 7-2 Rebels, who got a two-save clean sheet from Tyler Ayers.

Hunter Marsh made six saves for the Falcons (1-7).

Sharon 3, Twinfield 0: Carter Blanchard tallied once in each half to lead visiting Sharon past Twinfield.

Jay Knoerlein also scored and Thatcher Morrison made six saves for the Phoenix.

Cordelle Santomore finished with 10 saves for the Trojans.


Mount Mansfield 3, Burlington 0: Shannon Springer scored twice and added an assist to power visiting Mount Mansfield’s win over Burlington.

Sammy Beaulieu also scored for the Cougars (4-3-1), Maeve Poleman added an assist, and Jess Peura and Joanna Wright split two saves in net.

Devin Libby made four saves for the Seahorses (4-4)

Mount Abraham 2, Middlebury 0: Danielle Bachand scored in the first half and assisted Celia Heath’s second-half tally to fuel visiting Mount Abraham’s win over Middlebury.

The Eagles’ Danielle Morse finished with three saves in the shutout.

Katie Billings made four first-half saves for the Tigers and Sophia Chicoine posted one save in the second half.


St. Anselm 2, St. Michael’s 0: Host St. Anselm struck for two goals in less than three minutes in the first half to edge St. Michael’s in Northeast-10 action.

Nicole Rust and Kaila Sullivan notched goals for the Hawks (5-3-1 overall, 4-2 league).

Megan LeCours stopped six shots for the Purple Knights (1-7-1, 0-6).
