Junior Kyle Butz went 4-for-4 with two RBI, leading Moeller to the 12-8 win over Beechwood in the Doc Morris Invitational Friday.
Moeller held leads of 6-1 and 12-3, and was able to hold on for the win.
Eric Conner, Patrick Mullinger, Alec DeBruler and Alec Graves all knocked in two runs for the Crusaders.
Beechwood’s Brayden Combs went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. Junior Brett Slusher also had a home run for the Tigers, who are ranked No. 2 in the Enquirer Northern Kentucky coaches’ poll.
Moeller, ranked No. 1 in the Enquirer Division I coaches’ poll, improved to 11-1.
Lakota West 7, Princeton 1: Alex Wagner struck out eight batters in five innings and improved to 4-0 this season.
Andrew Huser went 3-for-4 at the plate with a double for the No. 3 Firebirds.
Glen Este 2, Kings 1 (eight innings): Senior Peyton Burdick belted an RBI double in the eighth inning for what proved to be the game-winning run.
Trailing 1-0, senior AJ Sweatland had an RBI double to even the score. Sweatland was 2-for-3 on the day.
Senior pitcher Evan Moores allowed just one hit and struck out 11 batters for Glen Este.
Walnut Hills 2, Milford 0: Leading 1-0 in the sixth inning, senior Forrest Longeway hit a two-out single to provide Walnut Hills with an insurance run over No. 8 Milford.
Senior pitcher Josh Breadon hurled a complete game to improve to 3-0.
Taylor 6, Wyoming 4: The Yellow Jackets scored four runs in the top of the seventh inning. Wyoming was able to load the bases in the home-half of the inning, but was unable to push any runs across.
Senior Josh Wagner went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI, while also picking up the win for Taylor.
Mariemont 3, Finneytown 1: Senior Ethan Bonnell went 2-for-3 with a double, and sophomore Hayden Seeger was 2-for-3 for Mariemont.
No hitter: Taylor’s Jordan Mock threw a no-hitter in an 8-0 win over Wyoming Wednesday. The junior pitched all seven innings and struck out seven batters.
Deer Park 10, Indian Hill 0 (six innings): Senior Samantha Wood went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI, becoming the all-time career RBI leader (106) in school history for the Wildcats. The previous mark (104) was held by Casey Berling, set in 2011.
Senior Kasey Purdin belted a two-run homer run, and fellow senior Ceara Trusty was 3-for-4. Jenna Shephard picked up the win, as both her and Deer Park improved to 11-0 this season.
Indian Hill was led by pitcher Cassidy Zang, who struck out nine batters, while also going 2-for-3 at the plate.
Seton 7, St. Ursula 0: Abby Lamping struck out 14 batters to improve to 7-3 this season.
Lamping also doubled and drove in two runs at the plate.
Mount Notre Dame 16, Ursuline 4 (five innings): Sydney Zeuch did it all for the Cougars. The junior pitcher secured the win on the mound and recorded four hits on four at bats, including five RBI.
Freshman Joelle Zielinski delivered on three at-bats and had three RBI.
Abby Elliott brought in all four runs for Ursuline.
Ross 14, Mount Healthy 0 (five innings): Senior pitcher Abby Engel struck out eight batters to pick up the shutout win and improve to 3-0. Freshman Hayley Grau went 2-for-3 with a triple and four RBI. Hayley Grau was 3-for-3 and Kenzie Meyer went 2-for-2 for the Rams
