The Roncalli girls soccer team played to a draw with Valders in a Packerland Conference match in Manitowoc on Monday afternoon.

Valders struck first with a goal by Amanda Miller in the fourth minute. However, Andrea Vaca helped Roncalli draw even a minute later when she scored off a Lauren Clark assist. The score remained tied at the half.

The Vikings regained the lead in the 50th minute when Miller scored again. But Clark tied the game at 2-2 on a penalty kick in the 77th minute.

Sydney Gutman and Alyssa Christianson each had assists for the Vikings.

Sydney Miller made eight saves for Valders.

Appleton North 7, Man. Lincoln 0

Manitowoc fell at home in a non-conference match.

Ellie Pecore recorded 16 saves for the Ships.


Man. Lutheran 6, Winn. Lutheran 5

The host Lancers held off a late surge from the Vikings en route to the win.

Trailing 1-0 in the third, the Lancers plated five runs to grab the lead.

The two teams traded runs in the fourth to make it 6-2 in favor of the Lancers.

The Vikings hung up a run in the fifth and two more in the seventh, but ultimately fell short.

Arianna Neumeyer finished the game with a hit and two RBI, while Lindsay Englebrecht, Sarah Yagodinski, MacKayla Menges and Rachel Gries also drove in runs.

Gries provided two of the Lancers’ six hits.

Menges earned the win, allowing three earned runs on seven hits in seven innings of work. She struck out nine and walked two.

Valders 5, Sheboygan Falls 1

Valders picked up a non-conference win over visiting Sheboygan Falls.

Tara Emme recorded two hits and two RBI for the Vikings, while Emmerald Hastreiter also drove in a run.

Jamie Jaeger picked up the win. She struck out five and walked two in four scoreless innings.

Chilton 11, Roncalli 3

The Jets scored three runs in the opening inning before their bats went silent, falling in an Olympian Conference tilt.

Host Chilton scored 11 runs on nine hits en route to the win.

Brooklynn Jarrell and Kendra Sieracki accounted for Roncalli’s two hits.


Man. Lincoln 12, Wrightstown 5

Braxton Keil drove in three runs and David LaTour and Ryan Shilts each batted in two more as the visiting Ships bested Wrightstown in a non-conference tilt.

Lincoln scored a pair of runs in the second inning before the Tigers plated two of their own in the bottom of the third.

The Ships regained the lead for good with a 6-run fourth. They tacked on four more runs in the fifth.

Trevor Feest finished 3-for-4 with an RBI for Manitowoc. Feest also earned the win, tossing four innings and allowing four earned runs on five hits. He struck out four and walked four.

LaTour and Keil each recorded a double.


Howards Grove quad

Kyle Curry finished second indivdually as Mishicot took top honors at the Howard Grove quad at Town and Country Golf Course in Sheboygan.

Curry carded a seven-over, 43. Teammate Austin Schnell finished one stroke back at 44 to tie for third.

Reedsville was led by Joe Puglise who finished in a tie for eighth with a 50.

EWC Mini-Tour No. 1

Trace Wopese shot an 11-over par, 47 to tie for ninth individually as Kiel finished seventh at the first event of Eastern Wisconsin Conference Mini-Tour at The Bull in Sheboygan Falls.

Two Rivers was unable to compete in Monday’s event.
