Junior Ryan Kelley (Roxbury) was selected as the MAC Commonwealth Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. Kelley’s career day came in Arcadia’s 108-97 win over Misericordia. He scored a career-best 33 points, to go along with four rebounds, four steals and three assists. The junior shot 8-of-11 from the field, including 4-of-5 from behind the three-point line. Kelley also made 14-of-15 free throws.
Dan Weiss (Montville) scored 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds to help undefeated Susquehanna to a 72-58 win over Penn St.-Harrisburg on Sunday evening.
Senior Julian Aiken (Randolph) scored 15 points to help Assumption to a 93-90 win over Molloy on Sunday afternoon.
Rashaan Spencer (Hackettstown) recorded eight points, five rebounds and four assists in Centenary’s 91-66 win over Summit.
Senior forward Sam Lapszynski (Jefferson) was named the MAAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. She averaged 25.5 points per game and 7.5 rebounds in two games for Niagara University.
Liz Malman (Mendham) scored 11 points, had four assists and three steals in Connecticut College’s 75-57 win over Suffolk.
Aliyah Huland El (Randolph) scored nine points and collected a career-high 10 rebounds in Virginia’s 67-62 loss to Tulane on Saturday.
Chicago junior Maya Scheidl (Mendham) was the University Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Week. Scheidl was part of four victories at the Phoenix Fall Classic in the 100-yard freestyle (NCAA B-cut 51.69), 200-yard freestyle relay, 400-yard freestyle relay and 800-yard freestyle relay.
Tommy Muratore (Mendham) delivered an assist, which would lead to the game-winning goal as Holy Cross topped Niagara, 3-2 in overtime.
