Eighth-grader Will Thomson of Pittsford Mendon shot a 1-over par 73 to win the Section V and Class A individual golf titles at Ridgemont Country Club on Saturday.
Thomson advanced to states a year ago, where he finished in a tie for eighth-place.
The Class B title was won by Matt Genaway (Attica/Alexander), who finished with an 80.
Evan Gaesser (Kendall) and Zach Chaddock (Fillmore) both shot a 76 and share the title for Class C.

Matt Gamble (Webster Schroeder) rallied for a 3-6, 6-3, 6-1 victory over Jordan Benjamin (Harley-Allendale Columbia) in the singles state qualifier championship.
On the doubles side, Ryan Gao and Josh Marvald (Brighton) defeated Jason Piacelli and Patrick O’Brien (Pittsford Mendon) 6-2, 6-3.
