DRESDEN – After New Lexington tied the game at 2 with a pair of runs in the top of the fourth inning, host Tri-Valley answered with three in the home half to help earn a 7-3 Muskingum Valley League victory at Kenny Wolford Park.
Tri-Valley (2-2, 2-0) led 2-0 before Mitchell Wycinski scored on a passed ball and Collin Russell stole home for the Panthers in the fourth.
Graham Hudson singled home Chuck Hall for the go-ahead run for the Scotties, while Bryce Farmer added a RBI single and Hudson scored on a passed ball to make it 5-2.
Hudson overcame six walks by allowing no hits in 4 2/3 innings for the win, and Zack Carpenter had three strikeouts in 2 1/3 innings of scoreless ball for the save.
Ryan Rider doubled and singled, Nick Slaboden had two singles and Tyler McGee knocked in two runs for Tri-Valley.
Will Poling suffered the loss, allowing five runs, one earned, on seven hits in five innings, while Davey Abrams and Zach Spicer had the only hits for the Panthers (1-2 MVL).
