DRESDEN – Another Muskingum Valley League title has Tri-Valley headlining the all-league football team once again.

The Scotties’ Grant Nolder claimed the player of the year and defensive of the lineman year honors, while Colin Slaboden was the receiver of the year, Quentin Gaiters nabbed the defensive back of the year award and Chase Dinan was tabbed the kicker of the year.

Justin Buttermore was also named coach of the year after a fifth straight undefeated season in the MVL.

Crooksville’s Joel Taylor was the offensive lineman of the year, Maysville’s Chase Roberts took home the offensive back of the year, Sheridan’s Deryk Grosse earned linebacker of the year and New Lexington’s Mitchell Wycinski was named punter of the year to round out the top honors.

Nolder, Gaiters and Slaboden were joined on first team by teammates Cody Collins, Tyler McGee, Christian Nezbeth, Owen Burkhart, Matt Lawler and Ethan Atkinson.

Grosse, Trevor Davisson, Dylan Dupler, A.J. Bryant, Justyn Bobo and Stanley Knox from Sheridan; Roberts, Tyler Jenkins, Clay Mercer, Sky Clark and Nik Smith of Maysville; Philo’s Jacob Skinner, Nathan Baker, Cody Wickham and Dylan Tweedy; Crooksville’s Taylor, Dalton Banik, Chaz Love and Daulton Finck; Wycinski, Andrew Spicer and Bradley Clapper of New Lex; John Glenn’s James Hickenbottom, Justin Heacock and Cole Larson; West Muskingum’s Jaden Gianettino and Kaden Bugglin and Braydon Hoskinson and Jerome Mayle of Morgan also made first team.

Special mention went to Hunter Polk and Kolton Hanby from Tri-Valley; Lane Householder and Jarrett Munyon of Sheridan; Maysville’s Chase Himmelspach and Tanner Ashcraft; Lane Deal and Jacob Mohler of Philo; Landon Hinkle and Alan Wolfe from Crooksville; Seth Russell and Austin Ratliff of New Lex; Collin Mathers and Shane Bonner from John Glenn; Brandon Swope and Drew McKenzie of West M and Morgan’s Dylan Johnson and Cole Earich.

Honorable mention included Tri-Valley’s Shae Burkhart, Nathaniel Schrider of Sheridan, Maysville’s Tahlor Macenko, Philo’s Brice Ball, Lane Tokie of Crooksville, Antonio Villaloboz of New Lex, Braden Shaffer from John Glenn, Cameron Strauss of West and Morgan’s Scott Harry.
