Biggest rivalry game: Tough one. I would say Bronxville, but the past few years it hasn’t been much of a game. Other two would be Byram Hills and Rye. We lost to Byram the last couple of years in the playoffs and Rye is right around the corner and is in our league this year for the first time.
Team strength: Defense! And balance. Even though we are starting seven underclassman we have tremendous leadership. The upperclassman have really pushed the younger guys to earn their starting spots.
Team weakness: Can’t give that away!
Scouting report: “A totally new team this year. We have some key leaders coming back from last year. We are very young. This freshman class is really the first class to come through our youth program. Quinn Crowley is taking the draws. George Dunhill is a 6-foot-1 athletic middie. Ben Girolamo will be the quarterback. A lot will be expected of him at an early age. Gibby Smith is a gifted, tough athlete with tremendous footwork. Has the work ethic of Matt Landis. He will match up on the other team’s best player. Davis Allen is 6-6 and can shoot the lights out with both hands. He is the key piece of the puzzle this year. Chuck Conway, Will Baffuto, Sean Murphy, Nick Ronan and Cairan Bennett will anchor our defense and we will go as far as those guys can take us. In the past we have been able to coach some great athletes, now we are getting some great lacrosse players with some higher IQ. We have a very tough schedule this year, far and away the toughest schedule we have ever had. But, as the program grows it important for us to challenge the guys not just for this season but for the years to come. That way they are used to playing ‘big name’ teams if you will. We are very excited!”
