Another winter storm is causing problems for the high school basketball schedule this season.
This time, the Shore Conference Tournament is affected.
At 8 a.m. Tuesday, Shore Regional Athletic Director Harry Chebookjian tweeted out from @ShoreAthletics that Tuesday’s SCT first round boys basketball game between No. 20 Marlboro at No. 13 Shore was postponed to Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
Other SCT boys basketball games that were postponed included: No. 9 Colts Neck rescheduled its home SCT game with No. 24 Pinelands to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, No. 12 Southern has pushed back its home SCT game with No. 21 Donovan Catholic to Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. No.10 Neptune has pushed back its home game against No. 23 Howell to Wednesday at 6 p.m. No. 16 Red Bank Catholic has postponed its home game with Manchester until 6 p.m. Wednesday. No. 25 Asbury Park will now travel to No. 8 Manasquan at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. No. 18 Matawan will visit No. 15 Point Beach at 6 p.m. Wednesday. No. 19 Central will travel to No. 14 Toms River South at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
There was one SCT boys basketball game still on for Tuesday and that was No. 22 St. Rose at No. 11 Rumson-Fair Haven at 6:30 p.m.
Cancellations are also rolling in for the first round of the girls SCT. (19) Matawan at (14) Brick Memorial has been pushed back to Wednesday night at 6:30p.m. (24) Asbury Park at (9) Southern has also been postponed and moved back to Wednesday night at 5 p.m.
(20) Mater Dei Prep at (13) Point Boro will be played Wednesday night at 6 p.m. (21) Toms River East at (12) Marlboro was also cancelled and moved to tomorrow at 4 p.m. (23) Ranney at (10) Donovan Catholic will be played on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
(17) Central at (16) Ocean has been moved back to Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m according to Central coach John Truhan. (18) Manchester at (15) Toms River North will be tomorrow at 5 p.m. (22) Long Branch at (11) Freehold Township has been moved to Wednesday at 5p.m.
