Freehold Twp. 8, Red Bank 5 (FINAL)
RED BANK – Opening night at the Red Bank Armory proved to be a career performance for Freehold Township winger Max Halvorsen, as the junior recorded six goals and assisted on two more in the Patriots 8-5 victory over Red Bank Regional.
Midd. North 7, Marlboro 0 (FINAL)
Middletown North and Marlboro opened divisional play on Saturday as the Lions skated to a 7-0 victory over the Mustangs.
The Lions – who competed with NCAA Division I commitments Khtistian Acosta (Quinnippiac) and Bobby Hampton (Northeastern) – were led by a four point night from Vinny Tomassetti on a goal and three assists, and received three more points from Kevin Felice.

Jackson Memorial 9, TR East 2 (FINAL)
WALL – In the first start of his varsity career, sophomore Matt Pousson stood strong in the crease for Jackson Memorial, leading the Jaguars to a 9-2 opening night victory over divisional foe Toms River East.

Midd. North 4, Midd. South 3 (FINAL)
MIDDLETOWN – Middletown North (2-0-0) saw the puck dropped on its NJSIAA Public B title defense Tuesday night in front of capacity congregation at Middletown Ice World, and played to an emotional 4-3 victory over crosstown rival Middletown South (0-1-0) in what can only be described as a playoff atmosphere.
Howell 4, Freehold Twp. 1 (FINAL)
CBA transfer and North Jersey Avalanche skater Timmy Clifton and solid goaltending by Bobby Dovenero proved to be the difference for Howell in this Class A North rivalry meeting with Freehold Township, as the senior delivered a hat trick and assisted on another by Ryan Damelio, while the junior made 26 saves to preserve the win.

BRICK – A much improved Brick Memorial program opened its 2015-16 campaign on Thursday at the Ocean Ice Palace, playing host to Class A South foe Toms River North, and carrying a tied game into the third period.
However, two quick Mariners (2-0-0, 2-0-0) goals to open the final frame by Jared Katz and Jeff Fischer proved to be the difference, as Toms River North took a 5-4 decision over the Mustangs (0-1-0, 0-1-0).
Midd. South 1, Jackson Lib 1 (FINAL)
WALL – A Class B North battle between divisional powers Middletown South – ranked No. 5 in the APP Pre-season Top 10 Poll – and Jackson Liberty resulted in a 1-1 tie on Thursday night, as a late goal by Eagles junior Dan Berkowitz allowed the club’s to split the point.
Ocean 6, Red Bank 1 (FINAL)
Ocean earned its second straight win, this one coming over Class B North foe Red Bank Regional, and the victory was due much in part to the stellar offensive play of Robby Feathers.
