First-year starter Kristin Demonbreun helped lead Siegel to a second straight unblemished season in District 7-AAA this year.
On Thursday, Demonbreun was named the District 7-AAA regular-season and tournament MVP.
Demonbreun, a setter, had 910 assists in the regular season. She also had 154 digs and a team-high 89 service aces.
Siegel defeated Blackman 3-0 in the District 7-AAA championship on Thursday at Stewarts Creek.
Joining Demonbreun on the All-District team from Siegel were libero Liz Bossong, outside hitters Leah Poarch and Asha Phillips and middle hitter Katelyn Lester.
Poarch, a junior, had a team-high 357 kills. She also had 66 aces and 319 digs. Bossong, a Tennessee Tech commitment, had a team-high 562 digs and 36 aces. Phillips, a Tennessee commitment, recorded 290 kills and 301 digs. Lester, a first-year starter, had 157 kills and 79 solo blocks. Siegel’s Kayla Mize was an honorable mention.
Siegel second-year coach Shawn Robinson was named the District 7-AAA Coach of the Year.
Riverdale, which placed second in 7-AAA in the regular season, placed three on the all-district first team. Setter Rachel Clement had a team-high 789 assists, 344 digs and 65 aces. Samantha James had a team-high 305 kills with 48 aces and 289 digs. Cynthia Christie had 241 kills, 197 digs and 55 aces. Sarah Jones was named an honorable mention.
Tristyn Lozano and Allie Paliaro represented Blackman on the all-district team. Lozano had 430 kills in the regular season with 68 aces, 44 blocks and 150 digs. Allie Palaria had 170 digs and a 99.5 service percentage. Tiffany Lyles was named an honorable mention.
Setter McKenzee Davis represented Stewarts Creek on the all-district team. Davis had 966 assists, 59 aces and 312 digs. Sydney Heath was named an honorable mention.
Oakland placed two on the all-district team in Rachel Todd and Jessica Paden. Teammate Briley Hale-Jarrell was an honorable mention.
Smyrna’s Maya Dahn was named to the all-district team with teammate Morgan Knoblett being an honorable mention. La Vergne’s Alysha Sanchez was named to the all-district team and Taylor James was an honorable mention.
