St. Joseph Central Catholic’s softball team swept Saturday’s doubleheader with Woodmore. The Crimson Streaks won the first game 10-2 and the second game 9-6.
SJCC’s Be Reardon won both games pitching 122/3 innings and recorded six strikeouts. Reardon also had five hits— three of them doubles— and a pair of RBIs. Ashley Burns added four hits, including a triple, and four RBIs. Natalie Zyski and Callie Kelbly also had three hits and four RBIs apiece. Zyski also homered for St. Joe (13-4). Miranda Wammes also had three hits.
Woodmore scored six runs in the first two inings of the second game for a 6-2 lead, but SJCC would score seven runs over the next three frames.
Marena Hartford was 2-for-3 with a double in the second game for the Wildcats, and teammate Madi Kleinhans had a pair of hits. Hartford pitched both games for Woodmore.
