The Barnegat softball team defeated Manchester, 3-2, in 10th inning on a passed ball with the bases loaded.
Because of the international tie-breaking rule, Emma Lloyd started off the bottom of the 10th inning on second base. Tara Jackson then legged out a bunt-single and moved Lloyd to third. Jackson stole second and Roxy Urso was intentionally walked to load the bases. Lloyd later scored on a passed ball to win the game.

Manchester’s Hampton (1-2) was 2-for-4 with one RBI and struck out seven and walked three batters, Maddie Leppert was 2-for-4 and Anja Kane was 2-for-5. Barnegat’s Urso and Darmstatter each went 3-for-4 with one RBI and Jackie Dino (1-2) struck out six batters.
