Alex Day hit her sixth home run of the season and Grace Bayliff drove in two runs as Bishop Manogue handed Reed its first league loss this season, 4-3, Tuesday at Manogue.

Kolbi Tonini got the win for the Miners as they improved to 12-4 in league, 21-5 overall.

Alysha Imperato homered for the Raiders, who had been ranked No. 9 in the nation according to Maxpreps.com. Reed fell to 16-1 and is a half-game behind Spanish Springs for first place in the Northern Division I standings.

Prep Softball

RENO 11, NORTH VALLEYS 3 at North Valleys: Morgan Eisele struck out nine and Peyton Reynolds drove in three runs for the Huskies.

Kylee Spencer was 2-for-3 with two runs scored for Reno.

FERNLEY 8, FALLON 3 at Fallon: Mercedes Rothwell hit a home run and Courtney Dunn got the win, striking out two.

Caitlin Kindred was 2-for-3 and Shandell Gemmel was 1-for-3 with two runs scored for the Vaqueros.

Prep Baseball

BISHOP MANOGUE 14, REED 4 at Manogue: Wes Farnsworth struck out eight and Alec West was 3-for-4 with hit a home run for the Miners.

Lucas Howard and Web Charles each hit two doubles. Charles drove in two runs and Shon Plamondon was 2-for-4 with three RBIs as Manogue improved to 14-3 in league.

Jake Van Tress homered and drove in two runs for the Raiders and Dakota Tompkins drove in two runs.

GALENA 11, MCQUEEN 1 at McQueen: Dawson Campos struck out four to get the win and Jared Kiessling was 4-for-4 with a double and three RBIs for the Grizzlies.

Travis Bohall was 2-for-4 with an RBI and Tommy Lichty drove in two runs.

Mike Behm was 2-for-3 with a double for the Lancers.

RENO 7, SPANISH SPRINGS 2 at Spanish Springs: Brock Tsukamoto struck out nine and drove in two runs for the Huskies.

Bradley Thomas was 3-for-3 with two RBIs and Ryan Boucher was 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Kyle Messer was 2-for-4. Ryan Anderson struck out nine for the Cougars.

DAMONTE RANCH 10, CARSON 0 at Damonte Ranch: Daniel Page hit a home run and drove in four runs and Zac Ukitis drove in three as the Mustangs remained undefeated in league play at 17-0.

Jared Blake was 3-for-4 and Tommy Dolan drove in two runs. Brad Bourdase got the win.
