Laconia 9, Lomira 3: The Spartans scored seven runs in the first three innings as they defeated the Lions on Monday to win the Flyway Conference championship, the school’s first softball conference title in 32 years.
Laconia put three on the board in the first inning and added four more in the third to take the early lead. Monday’s game was picked up from a suspended game played a few weeks ago.
Kayla Schwebke earned the win in the circle, allowing four hits and striking out six. Megan Andes took the loss for Lomira.
Payton Kastenschmidt was 2-for-4 with a home run, while Morgan Tetzlaff added two hits and four RBIs. Karlie Huebschman had a triple and an RBI and Melanie Hopp chipped in with two RBIs.
Lauren Luedtke had two RBIs to pace Lomira.
