The Timber Creek High School softball team staged a furious comeback to top Camden Catholic 5-4 in an Olympic Conference matchup on Friday.
Down 4-0, the Chargers scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh, when Maddie Petroski hit a double and was knocked in by Tara Eller. Eller went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored and two RBIs.
And Petroski didn’t just deliver at the plate. She came on in relief and pitched four scoreless innings to earn the win for Timber Creek.
•Shawnee 4, Cherokee 0: Kayla Pagano gave up three hits and struck out four to earn the win. Kaitlin Konopka was 3-for-3 with an RBI for Shawnee. Cherokee’s Keeley Lynch went 1-for-2 with a double.
•Clearview 6, Clayton 2: Skylar Boon gave up two runs in seven innings and went 2-for-3 with three RBIs for Clearview. Dominique Waters went 2-for-4 with two RBIs.
•Williamstown 12, Pitman 2: Lindsay Przywara went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and three RBIs, while Alexis Schauer went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs for Williamstown.
•Cumberland 15, Schalick 3: Haley Hulitt gave up three runs in five innings to earn the win and also went 4-for-5 with a home run. Jodi Cook went 3-for-5 with four RBIs for Cumberland. Schalick had just one hit.
•Pennsville 11, Hammonton 7: Three different Pennsville players knocked in two runs and four different players scored two runs. The five-run sixth inning was the difference for Pennsville.
•Gateway 18, Paulsboro 5: Kennedy Whalen struck out 11 and gave up two hits in four innings to earn the win. She also went 2-for-3 with a triple and five RBIs. Paulsboro managed eight hits, but they were all singles.
•West Deptford 15, Collingswood 0: Alexa Anderson went 2-for-4 with a double and three runs scored in West Deptford’s win.
•Haddon Heights 18, Woodbury 4: Vicky Ulrich went 2-for-4 with two homers and three RBIs. Danielle Corsi hit a homer and knocked in four runs. Sammy Baker hit a homer and knocked in three.
Burlington County League
•Moorestown 4, Delran 2: Moorestown picked up 10 hits and after a 2-2 first inning, scored one in the second and one in the fifth.
•Holy Cross 21, Medford Tech 7: Megan Byham went 4-for-5 with two runs scored and Jordan Stewart went 3-for-5 with two runs scored for Holy Cross. Medford Tech scored seven runs on just three hits.
•Florence 4, Northern Burlington 3: Lacey Olaff gave up three runs (one earned) in seven innings. Tatum Marshall hit a double and knocked in two runs. Northern’s Megan Mayernik hit two singles and knocked in two runs.
•Maple Shade 10, Riverside 7: Maple Shade scored three runs in the eighth inning to take home a win.
•Vineland 14, Holy Spirit 1: Liz Carpani went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and Emily Torres went 3-for-4 with three RBIs for Vineland.
•Buena 6, St. Joseph 4: Lynnsie Collins hit a double and knocked in two runs and Sam Monfredo knocked in two runs.
