Allison Swartz and Lily Moresco had four hits, including two doubles, apiece as the visiting as the undefeated Marlboro High School softball team beat Highland 20-1 in five innings.
Melissa Sadler and Cassie LaPointe had three hits each for Marlboro (9-0). LaPointe struck out nine and walked two, allowing two hits.
Michaela Raffaele had a solo home run for Highland (1-4).
Haldane 15, Peekskill 2 — Seventh-grader Shianne Twoguns had her first two varsity hits and Morgan Hotaling had a bases-clearing double in the Blue Devils’ road win.
Haldane (2-2) visits Lakeland at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Late Thursday, Haldane was swept at home by Pawling 5-4 and 8-0. Pawling’s Natalie Grillo knocked in the winning run in the first game, while Olivia Zoeller and Emma Heubel hit back-to-back home runs in the fourth inning. Kayla Chavarri picked up the win in relief for Pawling, tossing 2 2/3 innings with five strikeouts.
Marley Chefalo pitched both games for Haldane and swatted a two-run double in the first game. Allie Monteleone collected two hits including a double.
Zoeller pitched a complete game shutout in the second game of the twin bill, scattering five hits and striking out nine. At the plate she had a double and a single.
Pine Plains 24, Webutuck 1 – In five innings late Friday, Anna Lonczak pitched the visiting Bombers to victory.
Wallkill 3, Franklin D. Roosevelt 2 — Amanda Owens was 2 for 4 with an RBI and Allie Pritchard was 1 for 4 with a double and a run scored, but the visiting Presidents fell. Maddy Lee finished with a triple and three walks.
Roosevelt plays in the Troopers Foundation Tournament at the Mudville Softball Complex in Herkimer.
