The Tri-County Sparks won five games Sunday to capture the North Arkansas Babe Ruth 10-and-under softball state championship.
The Sparks defeated Siloam Springs 15-0, but fell 5-4 to Gravette in the winner’s bracket semifinal on Saturday. The Tri-County girls fought through the loser’s bracket Sunday, defeating the Harrison Diamond Divas 7-3, the Gentry Lady Rebels 19-1, and the Gentry Pride 14-3 to secure a rematch in the finals.
Tri-County defeated Gravette twice, 13-3, 11-1, to capture the state title.
