SRL names SJCC’s Yeckley baseball Player of the Year

Jake Yeckley, SJCC

St. Joseph Central Catholic catcher was honored by the Sandusky River League as the senior Crimson Streak was named the conference’s Player of the Year.

Yeckley was joined on the SRL first team by SJCC teammate outfielder Lucas Michael.

Other area first-teamers included pitcher Jake Wilson (Old Fort), infielders KJ Berkley (Lakota), Jordan Jaso (Lakota) Brandon Tittle (Old Fort), and outfielder Jacob Stewart (Lakota).

Second team selections included pitcher Hunter Chalfin (Lakota), infielder Zach Militello (SJCC), outfielders Casey Monroe (Lakota) and Josh Mason (Lakota) and catcher Tyler Gabel (Lakota).

Honorable mentions were given to Nick Watts and Dakota Gilbert (Lakota), Jacob Hammond and Jacob Webb (Old Fort) and Nate Rosengarten and Ben Wonderly (SJCC).
