St. Mary’s (Stockton, Calif.) held onto the top spot in the Super 25 girls basketball rankings. The Rams improved to 6-0 as Mi’Cole Cayton had 19 points in a 61-25 defeat of St. Mary’s (Berkeley).

There weren’t that many changes, with only two new teams: No. 24 Fremd (Palatine, Ill.); and No. 25 North Shore (Houston). There will likely be more changes the next time the rankings come out as the Nike Tournament of Champions in Phoenix this week involves many of the top teams.

Fremd is 11-0 as Brianna Lewis had 18 points in a 49-40 defeat of Simeon (Chicago) in the Chi-Town Showdown and Grace Tworek had 13 points in a 64-22 win at Hoffman Estates.

North Shore is 18-1 after defeating Cy Falls (Houston) 64-46 in the Peggy Whitley Classic.
