St. Xavier's 2005 state football championship team reunion is Sept. 11

The 10-year reunion of St. Xavier’ first Ohio High School Athletic Association state championship football team will be held Friday, Sept. 11 at St. Xavier Stadium, Ballaban Field.

The Bombers play host to Mentor at 7 p.m. that day.

Current coach Steve Specht led the Bombers to the Division I state title as St. X defeated Massillon 24-17 at Fawcett Stadium on Dec. 3, 2005.

The Bombers also won the Division I state title in 2007 under Specht.

The reunion celebration will start at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 11 as the team gathers for a photo on the field. There will be a pregame recognition on the field at 6:45 p.m. There will also be a postgame party in the cafeteria.
