The No. 1 mid-size baseball team in Missouri resides in Taney County.

Mountain Grove, Stockton and Lamar all check in to the Class 3 top-10, with Strafford also receiving votes.

Kickapoo, Joplin and Neosho received consideration but fell short of the top 10 in Class 5, Missouri’s largest baseball class.

Southwest Missouri teams fared better in Class 4, where Monett checks in at No. 3 and Rogersville, a playoff semifinalist in 2014, sits at No. 5.

Area teams dot the landscape in the two smallest classes. Billings sits at No. 3 in Class 1, a spot ahead of Walnut Grove and two spots up on Dadeville. Norwood ranks No. 8 in Class 2, one position ahead of No. 9 Crane.

Plato ranks No. 10, while Gainesville, Hartville and Marionville also received votes in Class 2.
