On Wednesday, Feb. 4, Livonia Stevenson senior Aliya El-Sabeh signed a national letter of intent to play collegiate soccer for Saginaw Valley State University.

A four-year varsity starter for the Spartans and a two-year captain, El-Sabeh has been a member of the Michigan Hawks Soccer Club for the past five years.

She led the Hawks to a 2014 State Cup championship while serving as a team captain.

El-Sabeh, who plays for coach Chris Grodzicki at Stevenson and Gene Pulice for the Hawks, was also a two-year varsity swimmer at Stevenson.

A scholar athlete, El-Sabeh was named to the KLAA all-conference teams in 2013 and 2014.
