Freshman guard led the Invaders in scoring, earned all-conference recognition

USATODAYhss.com/Cleveland is proud to introduce a new feature titled “Student-athlete Shout-out.” Each installment will spotlight the recent accomplishments of a deserving Northeast Ohio high school athlete.

Shout-out to Normandy’s Michaela Harrison

Normandy High School freshman Michaela Harrison burst onto the prep basketball scene by helping the Invaders’ varsity hoops squad finish atop the Northeast Ohio Conference Lake Division standings.

The 5-foot-6 guard shot 50 percent from the field, 32 percent from beyond the 3-point arc and 75 percent from the free-throw line during the 2014-15 season en route to tallying a team-high 279 points. Harrison earned first-team All-NOC recognition.
