Location: Chandler, Ariz.
2014 record: 13-1
Final 2014 Super 25: 16
The Wolves, looking to repeat as Division I state champion, will rely on a highly touted but largely untested quarterback in Oregon State commit Mason Moran. Moran was an All-Arizona safety last season with 52 tackles and two interceptions, but he only attempted 15 passes for 217 yards and had 12 carries for 150 yards as Bryce Perkins’ backup.
Moran has plenty of weapons, including WR N’keal Harry — ranked as the No. 1 player in the state by the 247Sports Composite rankings — and RB Chase Lucas.
The defense is led by LB KT Tilini, who had 85 tackles last season. The defense, already experienced, could be even better this year with the addition of two transfers: LB Hamilcar Rashed Jr. from Caesar Chavez (Laveen) and S Teauntae Nash from Salpointe Catholic (Tucson).
Chandler gets an early test Aug. 29 in a nationally televised game at last year’s Super 25 champion, Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas).
