2014-15 record: 30-3

Final Super 25: 6

The Wildcats lost American Family Insurance ALL-USA player Jaylen Brown to Cal.

But Wheeler is still in the running to repeat as Class AAAAAA champion. The Wildcats can count on elite junior point guard Darius Perry, senior point guard Makahi Eastmond and shooting guard Cam Jordan. Perry is ranked as the No. 16 junior point guard in the nation and the No. 64 player overall by the 247Sports Composite rankings.

Plus, they have two solid transfers in 6-9 center Romello White, a Georgia Tech commit who played at IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.), and Al-Wajid Aminu, a 6-8 power forward and North Florida commit who transferred from Coral Gables, Fla.

Wheeler should get a good measuring stick in the second game of the season when it faces defending Super 25 national champion Montverde (Fla.) Academy on Nov. 21. The Wildcats, ranked No. 10 at the time, beat then-No. 1 Montverde at the City of Palms Classic in Florida last December.

Scheduled season opener: Nov. 17, at Woodstock (Ga.)
